I’m excited to announce that, as of today, I’ve sold a total of 100 copies of my books Method Matters and Mental Mosaics, and on top of that, have 4,500 pages read under Amazon’s Kindle Unlimited plan!
I originally started writing my first book, Method Matters, in August 2022 and published it in Dec 2023, followed closely by Mental Mosaics, which I published in Feb 2024. Throughout this time, I’ve been intensively studying not only the craft of writing, but all aspects of the self-publishing world, including book formatting, marketing strategies, strategies for obtaining reviews on Amazon and Goodreads, and blog writing. I’m also working on more books, including a book on my game Hexakai which will be released in the near future, and on a series of private investigator short stories.
100 sales may not sound significant, but the road from 0 to 100 is tough, especially for someone starting out new in the industry like myself. In any business venture, not just writing, starting a project from scratch and turning it into a solidified, income generating project is arduously challenging, but it is also immensely rewarding.
I’m setting my next major milestone to 1,000 copies sold, and my goal is to reach this milestone by the end of 2025. To achieve this, I’ll need to increase my sales velocity by nearly 300%, but between my upcoming releases and my other brand strategies, currently implemented and in the works, I believe it will be fully attainable.
